Apache Gold
Treasure hunters ventured into the Dragoon Mountains in search of a fortune in gold that the Spanish conquistadores had hidden over three hundred years ago. Within a few days of venturing into the Dragoon Mountains, they were ambushed by Cochise and his Chiricahua warriors. All the treasure hunters were killed except one named Billy Preston.
Lying on a cot inside the hospital at Fort Bowie, Billy Preston disclosed the location of the gold to Charlie Hackett before he passed away.
