The Expedition

The Expedition: Lost in Another Time is an adventurous novel about three friends who are home for the summer. The setting of the story is in New York State on the Cornwall River. During the summer, the boys would go on sailing trips in their sailboat. Hearing stories about a mysterious Time Wind and fishermen who had vanished while fishing in their boats has heightened these three friends' curiosity. The parents told the children that they were just made–up stories by local fishermen. This did not stop these three friends from trying to locate the Time Wind during their summer breaks. Then one summer, the unexpected occurred that caught them by surprise.

As Mal entered the sailboat with his friends, they hoisted the sails and waved to their parents, who were watching from their windows. ‘You boys be careful now and be back in time for dinner,' shouted Mal's mom from the deck. The river was steady, and a gust of little wind made it cooler than all the other summer days.
