World Ambush
Strange, ghoulish, wraithlike, crystalline, vampire, fanged, tentacled, distorted weird, freakish, reptilian, morphogenic, symbiont, hydrozoan, siphonophore, spiked, horned, crownlike, polycephalous, polymerous, medusan, monster––these are examples of the images reported of aliens in the news and variously depicted on–screen, in literature, and in folklore. But aliens with the likeness of human beings, or humanoids, are noted for their characteristically nuanced or not–so–subtle nonhuman emotional expressions and behavioral tendencies. They are either good or bad and rarely ditheistic––capable of both good and bad, much less complex individuals, plagued by inner conflict––at once good and bad at the very same time.
