You Must Carve Your Path
A tragic event in the village forces two young men, Onesimus and Ben, to flee for their lives, pursued by a vengeful mob. They narrowly escape but cannot return home due to the ongoing threat. Desperate for safety, they set out on a journey to a town where their uncle owns a large farm. Unfortunately, they miss the last bus for the final leg of the trip and must continue on foot along a rough, dangerous road at night. Along the way, they receive a ride from a man named Mike, who convinces them to spend the night at his home. However, Mike soon learns that the two young men are fleeing from a crime scene involving the death of a young woman, with a substantial reward offered for their arrest. This discovery leaves Mike torn between claiming the reward and adhering to his moral values. As he wrestles with the decision, he persuades the two young men to stay an extra day to help with some tasks. While observing their work, Mike notices their potential, particularly Ben's, and realizes they could assist him in reclaiming a property he lost in a local community game. This realization sparks a plan in Mike's mind, giving him renewed hope of recovering what he had lost. The initial attempt to help Mike recover his property fails, and later, Ben mysteriously goes missing. Onesimus devises another idea to help Mike, but it also falls through, sending Mike into a fit of rage. Onesimus then hatches a plan with a woman named Amanda and her friend Rob to escape from Mike's home. Along the escape tunnel, Onesimus stumbles upon Ben, gagged and tied up in the tunnel. Together, they flee to Rob's home. However, Ben goes missing again, and Onesimus uncovers a shocking betrayal: Rob has ensnared him and is attempting to steal his creative work. Rob coerces Onesimus into a harrowing ordeal involving Bella, his wife, and Onesimus narrowly escapes death after the perturbing experience. Rob is eventually arrested for his crimes, including Ben's tragic death. In time, Onesimus seizes an opportunity to showcase his creative artwork and business ideas in the US, earning the admiration of investors. He achieves great success and returns home, not only with financial stability but also with a newfound sense of purpose. Using his accomplishments as leverage, he becomes an advocate for political reforms aimed at improving his society, using his self–made platform to drive meaningful change.
